Has anyone any info on the above who I believe married my Grandfather William John Muddiman in 1918 in Aston.
He married my Grandmother in 1920 in Aston so find this quite interesting?

This could be her in the 1911 census transcribed as:
ANSTASIA PENDERGRAST Born 1889 Dublin - General servant domestic living at Council School Slade Road, Erdington.

Can't find her in 1901 but maybe she came over between 1901 and 1911.

The above two appear on the electoral rolls in 1945 with William and Anastasia. Might account for why William & Anastasia aren't on bham rolls until 1935?

All a bit strange as you say William J married your grandmother.
Where did you get the info that your William married Anastasia before your grandmother?

Thanks Suzanne. The plot thickens. Got the info from user of this site. The name william john Muddiman from Aston appears to marry Anastasia in 1918 and My Nan in 1920. Then he reappears in 1939 back with Anastasia. I know he left soon after 1935 and returned to B.ham( from Cannock)? I presume leaving behind my Mom and Uncle. Unless theres more than one William John Muddiman. To make matters worse, his father was of the same name. Brain ache.

This is a photo of Bill and Tess Muddiman on their wedding day. It was from my grandparents' collection. This William John Muddiman was one of my Grandma's brothers. His father was Walter Muddiman b.1866 Kenilworth, Warwickshire d.1947 Birmingham, Warwickshire.

Bill and Tess had another son Denis who was Peter's twin brother. Denis was the navigator of a Lancaster bomber shot down over the channel on May 12 1944.

Many thanks for the details in this thread which have added to my knowledge of "Tess".

As you surmised, I think there must have been two William John Muddimans, as I don't believe my Great Uncle ever remarried.

I worked with a Graham Muddiman whose family had garage on Pershore Road, Cotteridge.
