Richard Charles Wheatley (1904-1980)
I am a Rolls-Royce enthusiast currently researching a 1920 RR Silver Ghost that in 1959 belonged to Richard Charles Wheatley (1904-1980). Richard lived with wife his Dorothy at Wentworth Lodge, Knowle Lane, Lichfield. Dorothy died in 1994. Richard was part of the company 'Richard Wheatley & Son' originally based in Birmingham who made leather goods and fishing flies.
I am trying to find out what happened to the RR after Richard sold it and wonder if you can put me in touch with any member of his family or forward this message to someone who might be able help? It's on the DVLA database so it's still around.
As an aside I was a student at the Birmingham College of Food and Domestic Arts (as it was called then) from 1965-1968. When I started it was in Brasshouse Passage but while there we moved to the new building in Summer Row.
