I cannot find marriage of Thomas to Jessie Popnell
Cannot find birth of Jessie Popnell
Cannot find a marriage of a Popnell to Jessie, in case she omitted to say she was a widow)

HELP!

in 1911 they were at the address you have stated. 9 monroe buildings, pershore street.

thomas wood carter, age 46 b. worcestershire. jessie wood 41 b. herefordshire. married 17 years.
children thomas 17, b. worc.
beatie 15, bertie 13, both b. worc.
arthur 11 b. yardley
ernest 9, george 5 and joe 1 b. bham.

looking for the marriage now

so at least we know they had been married 17 years.

trouble is alberta, its still difficult.

i thought jesse popnell could be jane popnell who was born 1869 oct-dec ledbury herefordshire, which all seems correct, but cant see her marriage to thomas wood

the marriage records for around 1893/1894 are very difficult to read so it may be that the ones you want are illegible.

in 1901 they are living in yardley worcs. thomas must have had a previous wife as they have a son henry t wood aged 10 b. worc. as well as beatrice, bertie and arthur.

Shera ,found on 1881 Jessie(registered Jessy) Pocknell age 8 born Fownhope Hereford which it says on 1901 census her mother is unmarried Sarah Pocknell.
Still no joy on marriage though.
