Francis James Peter Wood was born in Birmingham,the 4th quarter 1911 so after the census(he would be wouldn't he)
His mothers maiden name was Popnell,I can find no other Wood/Popnell children and no marriage.
Any help appreciated.Alberta
 
Alberta what was his mother's first name ? I can only find an Ellen Popnell 1918 Aston married to a Francis S Ward that comes anywhere close. There are alternative spellings of 'Popnell' I could look at if I had his mother's name.

Francis James Peter Wood and Doris May Wood are at 108 Holloway Head in the 1935 electoral roll.
 
The only marriage for a Francis Wood and a Doris is in Eccelshall Bierlow, Yorkshire, in 1926 - so not that one!

Francis married Doris Brown in 1934,I found his birth in 1911 Birmingham and it has mothers name Popnell.Will have to buy certificate to verify,Thanks.
