Plumbers Arms Kings Norton

Hello, we are based on Kings Norton Green and we have found an old black and white photograph of a public house called Plumbers Arms.

We thought it was a building previously facing St. Nicholas Church but not so sure now as I have read that it was changed due to a fire and the top storey was destroyed.

Its a picture from 1912 so if anyone can throw some light on this for me please I would really appreciate it.

mazieboo Welcome to the forum, there is mention of The Plumbers Arms in an earlier post (#7) on this forum, un-fortunately the image was lost when the forum was hacked.
Would you be able to post a copy of the photo on the forum.

Colin

Hi Colin, I will need to scan it in and will do so tomorrow for you so you can see the background.
It does look like the top of the Green to the left of the post office where the old peoples flats are.

can't see any photo in this thread. I've been trying to find out about this pub myself as I found an old special edition from evening mail with this photo in. the plumbers arms is the top photo

The Plumbers Arms, at no 15 The Green, must be the building in red, though the alleyway on the map looks smaller than it appears on the picture
