Picture needs darkening

Could someone darken this pic please, I would have done it using Paint.net but for some reason it wont start up for me.

Hi Terry - here is my attempt. I have generally only equalised the images. In the one pic there appears to be a 'patch' on the image of the boy with light hair on the right. Use of a clone tool and some patience could remove some of the small flaws on the pics.


I should have waited Michael has done a much better job ....
