I am trying to help a friend with some research relating to the Phillips family and particularly John Sydney Phillips, born 1895, son of Harry Philip Phillips a bedstead, safe and fender manufacture. The family's original home was at Oldberrow House, Henley in Arden but at some time between 1927 and 1942 Harry and his wife Hannah Caroline Alex Phillips moved to 6b Kenilworth Court, Hagley Road. We have the birth certificate for John Sydney and also census, Great War Service Papers etc but we have no idea what happened to him after the Great War. He is named on his father's will made in 1927 but sadly no address is given. If anyone has any information no matter how small it would be gratefully received. Perhaps the electoral register for his father's address would be a starting point if anyone has access to them. Thanks in anticipation. Sue

Harry Phillips is listed at flat 6B Kenilworth court in 1939, with "Carrie". there are no entries for the address in 1935. Could find no John Sydney Phillips listed in birmingham.
