I am researching the family line of WITTON PERKES who married ELIZABETH CARTLAND . They were from the Old Swinford area and I have information about the family. If anyone recognises this branch them I would like to make contact.

HI There kay
do you have any connections to the perks that lived in sefton rd edgbaston
as there was an elderly person of perks whom lived there with one of the daughters
and my own mother was related to perks and once or twice she said this lady had a grand daughter by the name of kay whom was living there with herad looking after her
this could be just a coincidence by name of perks
my grand mothers sister married a perks
best wishes Astonian ;;;;

Hi Astonian

I don't know because I haven't so far traced any of my great great grandfathers family except of course for my grandad who lived in Ashton under lyne. Perks seems to be a popular surname in the Birmingham area. My great great grandfather WILLIAM PERKS married twice. First to REBECCA LEADBETTER and then to EMMA BARTON. I know very little about his second family.
Sorry I can't be of more help

Regards
