Pen factory

Zumfan

proper brummie kid
In 1901 my grandmother was living at 132 Farm St and worked in a 'pen factory warehouse'. Does anyone know where this would have been? And what sort of pens are we talking about? Fountain?

it could well have been likely Brandaur Pens just up the road from Farm Street
go to the main site astonbrook-through-astonmanor.co.uk and scroll down to factories

My Dad worked at a Pen factory in Birmingham, it was called "Perry Pens" and
was situated off Lancaster street, I cannot remember the name of the street,
Perry Pens was sold out to British Pens in 1961
