Pedley & Green Marriage Yardley

Is anyone able to do a single look up for the marriage of William Green (artist) and Martha Pedley at Yardley on 27 Jan 1812? I can trace Martha back to Pedleys in Willenhall and I know William and Martha are buried in Warstone cemetery, but I can't find anything about William's father at all. I wondered if the Yardley registers had any further information than the date - I know some registers do.

Unfortunately Green and William are common names.

Would be grateful if anyone has access.

Hello and welcome Beryl the registers for Yardley are held at Central Library not sure if the can be accessed elsewhere. The library is in a state of moving so not sure if anyone can help at the moment.

if they married in Yardley they may have married at St Edburgha's, or Yardley Old Church, not sure if the church would hold records going that far back but might be worth contacting them to see if they do.

Sorry I haven't used this site until now and I'm having a bit of trouble logging in each time!

It looks like I may have to wait until Birmingham library has re-organised itself.
Thanks, yes I have the census entries, and when I looked round the adjacent parishes there are a few 'William Greens' born about the same time - what started off my query was that I found this

https://listsearches.rootsweb.com/th/read/GREEN/1997-04/0860893585

which suggests that William was brother to one Charles Green who was born Halesowen and emigrated to USA, this suggests that William was also born Halesowen (and there are indeed lots of Green families Halesowen but the use of common christian names makes identification very difficult. I have tried to verify this but so far cannot, the source is no longer extant. I have nothing to link my Green family to Halesowen and am wary about doing this without evidence (though Halesowen isn't a million miles away) - but the William Green linked into this extract is definitely my William because of the details given.

I have e-mailed the Georgia History Society but have had no reply.

Any ideas would be welcome.

Beryl
