I am researching William Parsons, my grandfather. He was born about 1870 in Ashted & died in 1950. I have found him on the 1911 census & I have found a possible William Parsons prior to his marriage, but he was a brass lock worker & my mom always said the military was his career & he had been in the boar war & spent time in India, so I may have picked up someone of the same name & age by mistake. William frequently lied about his age on documents as he was at least 18 years older than my grandmother. If anyone knows of a William Parsons or can offer me advice it would be appreciated.
