parish query

I'm wondering if the parents names would be written down in the parish register. My ancestors, Joseph Turner and Ann Evans were married at St. Martin’s Church on December 23, 1833; Witnesses were Richard and Margaret Gill. Would there be any other information written to take me back further in my research. Many thanks.
