Hi living opposite at 27, I was friends with Henry Harding, (never knew his Dads name). Bit older than me, I can remember playing marbles with him, led me stray. Also I used to go to their house after school and wait for Mom, about 1966-69 I reckon.
I remember them in the back room everyday I went, listening to horse racing, checking their bets. I am sure there was a piano in the front room, that would of been the shop front, couldn’t help but touch it and play
 
Thankyou for the yard photos, not the one behind 27, all the houses opened direct onto the communal yard. Brew house to the left hand side, at the top were the outside toilets(3 or 4). I think it was a builders behind there.
