I'm seeking information about the Oswin family of Bilhay Street, Smethwick; previously of Coventry and, latterly of HillTop, West Bromwich. Thank you.

in 1901 there are loads of oswins in coventry. have you got any names and approximate dates please :)

Hi, and thank you for answering! Alfred and Maud Oswin....Doris, Florence and Anne Oswin too. I would really like to know of their existence post Coventry, at Bilhay Street, Smethwick. I appreciate your assistance, thank you!

i have tried locating your people using the electoral rolls and kellys directories but sorry ive been unable to find them. :(

the only name i can find is alfred p oswin who was a superintendent registrar in foleshill coventry up to about 1928.

i hope others will have a look for you

Thank you yet again. If the middle initial 'P' is for 'Percy' then he's my grandfather! Is there anything more regarding him? Cheers, JohnO

not sure if its the same person but from about 1936/40 there is a percy alfred oswin living 29 hawkes lane, hill top, west bromwich who is a butcher. it probably is not the same person as alfred p oswin was a superintendant registrar :)

Shera, thanks again. No, it was my error, the 'P' is, I believe, for 'Philip'. The 'Percy' you mention is his first cousin. Regards, JohnO
