I am not sure if this is of interest to anyone it is an advert from Country Life dated January 8th 1879.

In 1896 they were on the end of the north side of Bagot St, on part of the site of what was marked in on the map in 1890 as the Royal Small Arms Factory. Bit like what's happening to a lot to the large factory sites today. By 1912 there was no longer an Osmond Cycles listed in Kelly's.

The Osmond Co. also made motorcycles pre WW1. A pal of mine in Kingstanding found one and restored it and had it running in the 1960's. It was a very lightweight job, not much more than a push bike with a small engine in place of the front down tube. Don't know what happened to it.
