Hi Gail and Bob

Have just found this; don't know if it will be the right one or not. If you think it is, contact Birmingham City Council Geneaology Department (I've already sent the link) and ask them for a copy of the Birth Certificate. From this you will get his parents' names.

Best wishes.

Chris

Sorry, am having scatty day - here is the record you might be interested in. If you apply for the Certificate, quote the numbers on this and you won't have a prob getting it.

I dont see you having any Problem with obtaining a Birth Certificate with the information given, but l would like to add that Birmingham Registry Office do not recognise St Cathrine's House (as it used to be l beleive) search codes so there is no need to quote the code, only all the birth details that you have. l think you would be very lucky to find someone with that Certificate but perhaps its worth a try otherwise its £7-50 if they have not gone up in price for a Birth Certificate and it does not stop you using St Cathrines House Indexes for further references.
Hope this may be of some help.

6d 126 is the wrong Frederick I have already paid for it and the fathers name is Frederick not Alfred. Thanks anyway

Gail

This seems to be the trouble with records as Francis can also be Frank, Harry could be Henry and that is just two examples.
I wish you better luck with your future research Gail.
