This site https://www.old-maps.co.uk/maps.html has been available for some time, but it has often been difficult to access exactly where you want to look at. Now however you can go to the place in a similar way to google earth and just click and appropriate maps available load.
Also, and even more important, the resolution of the maps as shown on the site used to be poor (they did after all hope to sell you a hard copy !), but now this is much better and approaches alan godfrey' maps.
