Old House at Home 3d Pub Token

Covade

proper brummie kid
Hi,
Can anyone shed any light on this token & the maker please:-

Old House at Home, licensee is 'J Maybury'
The only pubs I can find are one in Harborne (still trading) and the the other at 24 Friston Street in Ladywood which is long gone.

The token was made by J. Catley 25.1/2 Ludgate Hill B'ham. The only reference I can find to this name is in Whitmore's 'The Token Collectors Companion'. He lists one example from this maker but it isn't this one!

Any help much appreciated!

J Catley would be Joseph Catley, die sinker, stamper , & piercer, 25½ Ludgate Hill in 1872 directory . He has gone by 1876. Previously it may be the same person in ?whittall St described as a gun percussioner, while a John Catley was a stamper and piercer at court 5 Ludgate Hill (court 5 was next to no 25), So it seems that the manufacture was over a quite short period,

That fits with the advert I posted on #2
