anyone remember great brooke st nechells in the early 1960's i was born at number 72 in 1949 ?

Hello Coalhole welcome to the forum which end was72 i lived in Erskine st (off the Vauxhall Rd i remember Gt Brook St quite well i,m only 6 years older than you but in those years when you were kids it was a lifetime. Dek

I remember Great Brooke St well, no 72 must have been where Revsby Walk is now. Near to Vauxhall Rd. That end of the road was the first to go wasn't it? If you look through the forum you will find quite a few photos and mentions of Great Brooke St.

Picture...you might have seen it before from Phylis Nicklins photos of the late fifties. Thats Vauxhall road at the bottom of the street.
