Does anyone know if there is anywhere on the internet where I can search for an obituary of someone who died in Birmingham in 1986. I've looked at the Birmingham Mail site, but there doesn't seem to be anything on there.
I noticed that some obituary notices come up in Google if you search for the deceased persons name, so as a long shot it may be worth giving this a try.
As you know the date of death it may be that your only recourse is to make a search of the Bimringham mail for the week or so after this date, I think the on line copy of the Birmingham mail is a more up to date than 1986.
I did try Googling the name but nothing came up (although I did get an obituary of another member of my family). I'm trying to trace an uncle and two cousins. I know my aunt died and thought if I could find an obituary it may give me some clues as to where my uncle was at that time.
