hi folks...well ive made a pretty feeble attempt at taking some now pics of nursery road..hockley to compere with the then ones....must say i do admire those who can get them spot on...ok here goes...

pic one....looking up church st from nursery road....
 
church st on the left...lamp post does not seem to have moved far and wellesley street which was where the cats co was no longer exists...
 
im am so pleased that this factory is still there...not many landmarks left now..
 
taken from the sally army looking accross at the terraces..one of the many places i used to collect our dads window money from....phone box not moved at lot..if any...

I remember being dragged by my ear out of the telephone box by a man who thought that I was up to no good (post #7). He was right....... Mabz
 
Good idea Lyn. I want to do the same myself, but I can't find the time.
Any chance of lightening your photos a touch.
 
thanks max....like i said earlier ive got many more old pics of villa st top and bottom so i want to find time to do those....

now hang on there just a sec froth...its a miracle i can take..download and post em...now you want me to lighten em as well...surely you are jesting...lol...

froth..i thought the setting was not quite right so i phoned our tom and asked him...he said it was ok.....bang on the head for him later....lol
