Poppy have you any further information on the Goodenough family. My mother used to mention a Fanny Goodenough, who I believe was her cousin, most of my ancestors on that side lived around the Summer Lane area. Mom was born 1900 so I imagine Fanny was about the same age.

That's a lovely photo Poppy it looks as though it is all the male guests at a wedding as they are all wearing flowers in their buttonholes. Have you any information on Fanny Goodenough, I don't know whether that is her birth name or her married name. The name Goodenough rang a bell, as it is an unusual name.

Sylvia, I think buttonholes were often given out by the photographer. I think that because almost without exception in my family, each photo of a male has a buttonhole. Why I don't know, but perhaps it was to make them look more well off than they were.

ive looked thro everything ive got and not got a fanny florence is the nearest born 1891 in birmingham parents alfred and gracey in 1901 she was living in sutton colefield have u anything at all on ur fanny? any other relations perhaps?or well anything at all i could try n cross match with the information on the goodenough family that i have

Poppy, I haven't any real information on Fanny, I don't know whether that is her official name or whether it is like Emily or Emma being called Pemmie. I just have a feeling she is a cousin of my mother and could be the daughter of one of my gran's sisters. Family name Yates some of my great aunts names - Hannah, Mary Ann, Laura. I know the married names of gran's other sisters, so these are the most likely ones. I know it is a long shot and I am grateful for your help.
