I was always fasinated by it as a kid , when the number 8 bus went passed it on the way to Aston Cross on Park Lane

Many thanks , Brilliant. Fond memories of my Sunday treat of a trip on the inner circle 8.

I was also fascinated by that poster, used to go to my aunts just below there and had a friend on that road called Miriam Lee, often think of her, that was a lovely pic. brummy lad, what was the other site brummy lad.2.? Thanks for the memories

I seem to remember the ad was for Phillips stick on rubber soles. These little blokes used to be in a lot of cobblers shops.

What an amazing thing the memory is, I lived in Parliament Street and around the corner on Park Lane (almost opposite the boots) my uncle had the bicycle shop (Keights) and an auntie had the newsagents (Burtons).

I had forgotten all about those boots (even though i must have seen them almost every day) until I saw a thread on this web-site. I recall them vividly now.

John

The cobblers was Neale's, we always had our shoes repaired there. I also remember Keight's and had many a puncture repair kit from there. Went to school with Bernice Burton from the paper shop, and remember her brother Brian.

Talking about Policemans feet reminds of that old joke" why do policemen
have bigger balls than firemen? Cause they sell more tickets!
