National Burial Index 3rd Edition

The National Burial Index 2nd edition is to be superceded by the larger 3rd edition. Detail included in the Index is to be tightly controlled to encourage approaches to Family History Society members. For those who have the 2nd edition I understand an update will be made available.
No news yet though on the release date or cost of the 3rd edition.

The NBI is compiled from parish records, non conformist records, cemeteries & crematoria & covers England & Wales. The entries give the name of deceased, age, parish & whether the record is checked or corrected.
The approximate date for release of the 3rd ed is summer 2009 & it will contain 18 million records, as against, allegedly, 10 million on Find My Past.
Genfair sell the NBI 2nd edition.

Sounds interesting I googled it after read your post and looked on find my past they don't have any Myttons living in warwickshire, Staffs, or Worcester on there as far as I can tell.
