My Favourite Musical

Some time ago Sky and Virgin had a "Fall out", and sky took all their progs from the cable, now that they have kissed and
made it up, I can once get SKY Arts, and the other night I watched "La Boheme" by Puccini, I think it was an Aussie
production, very good, I now know why the tiney hand was frozen Bernard

What about Rodgers and Hammersteins brilliant "Carousel". A Brilliant tragic story, brilliant songs "Soliloqy"(My boy Bill) "you'll never walk alone" "If I loved you". My wife and I still sob our hearts out every time.
I watched Jesus Christ superstar when it came out originally and we were speechless for an hour, same with Blood Brothers.
Will be at Sutton Town Hall for "Orpheus" but handing out Leaflets for "Guys and Dolls" by "The Manor Operatic Society" next April, a brilliant show don't miss it.

Hello Leonard,

I just got home from watching the technical rehearsal of "Orpheus", and it sounded great. Only wish I was in it, as I would have been had it not been for my wobbly leg. I did a few shows with The Manor, years ago, including "Iolanthe" and "Die Fledermaus". It wouldn't surprise me if you and I know each other....

My choice is similar to yours Leonard. I love Carousel and the music. The other favourite not mentioned yet is "The Boyfriend". Since my Mom and Dad used to go to London to some shows pre war "The Boyfriend" was their favouite. They bought themusic and it was played a lot at home. I have seen it several times live and know all the songs. There is also "Salad Days", "White Horse Inn" and the "Gypsy Baron".

Hi Big G I was fliedermaus in the last 10 years, but never done Iolanthe. Might do Front of House if Erdington need help as they help us FOH as well.

Talking about individual songs from Shows anyone remember "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered" from Pal Joey by
Rodgers and Hart. Bill Synder had a big worldwide hit with it and also Felix King, Bernard
