Thats a good idea Terry, to have a photo of the house the card was sent to, to keep with my collection.:)

That is a steep road:(

Hi Frothblower,

great collection of truly ENGLISH memorabilia. I 'found' the work of George Studdy via being a fan of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band (later just the Bonzo Dog Band) in the 1960's. You could buy a t-shirt with a picture of Bonzo Dog - I wonder if anyone's got one and if so what it would be worth today? Of course, a lot of the Bonzo Dog Band's songs and ENGLISH humour would today be considered highly non-PC and are rarely heard at all, a great loss in my opinion.

Hope the first card does not offend. It's probably about 80 years old, just shows how PC as changed.

I do that a lot especially with addresses from the census. I like to see how/where they lived. Also my dad had an address book with a lot of his friends/family in it. again ilike to see where they lived.

Looks like you've got a bit of traveling to do Chris. You could always find the post code a do a Google street search. You never know you may find some historicle buildings. To have a collection of postcards and photo of the addresses could become very valuble.
Remember you heard it hear first.
