This may seem a strange request, but is there anyone who can throw any light on this?
In the 1960’s I was introduced to a family who lived in a large house on the Chester Road somewhere near The Digby. They often had musical evenings, piano recitals, chamber music concerts in their house which was large - they were clearly very cultured and affluent.
Coincidentally, I was talking to a friend recently who also knew of the family but couldn’t remember the name. I am convinced it was quite an unusual name, and they clearly held an important niche in the Birmingham (Erdington) musical scene.
Does this strike a chord with anyone out there?
