Moseley Walter

Mr Zippy

master brummie
Hi,

Grateful for any information on a Walter Moseley, who, aged 31, lived in Aston in 1911 and was employed as a naval brass worker. He had two sisters, Laura and Dorothy. I am particularly interested in any info on a marriage.

Thanks.

The family were still at 181 Clifford Street in 1920
Marriages Dec 1912
Laura Moseley married William H Parkes Aston 6d 827
1920-1925 at 181 Clifford Street
Walter Moseley and Laura Parkes.

From 1927-1939 Walter Moseley and Laura Parkes lived at 69 Denham Road Acocks Green.
Walter died June 16 1963 at Selly Oak Hospital. His home address was given as 100 Queensbridge Rd,Moseley.(Highbury Hall, residential home)
Administration of his estate (£651 13s 11d) was granted to Edna Gladys Withey (nee Parkes).
Edna Gladys was daughter of Laura Moseley and born in 1913.

Well, many thanks Ladylinda. This is fantastic, albeit tinged with a little sadness as Walter was the only other male line entering the 20th Century and it looks like he lived with his married sister without marrying and having his own family. Thanks for your efforts.

Ladylinda could you please tell me where you obtained all this detail. I am trying to piece together other family members into the 20th century and would like to form the sort of information on them you provided on Walter. Thanks.

Ladylinda, a bit belated this, but you helpfully provided the above info. I am having difficulty establishing what happened to Dorothy Moseley. Do the records you have available record her as also living at 181 Clifford Street in 1920. Thanks.
