Moped museum/collection

I wish to start a Moped Museum or less grand, a collection.
This is a "not for profit" venture due to a desire to do something useful in retirement. I have suitable premises, a few bikes and,I hope a helper.

I need help finding more bikes, literature, brochures, information of any kind. I know many people have old discarded mopeds in garages, sheds all across the country but how do I contact them withoput spending fortunes in advertising?

I have set aside a fairly considerable sum of money to fund this project so I am not looking for "something for nothing".

Any ideas please?

Initially you may wish to talk to NARTM (The National Association of Road Transport Museums) at https://www.nartm.org.uk/ who can offer advise, and put you in contact with others having similar interests. I'm sure they can advise you of the way to go forward, pitfalls to avoid, etc.

It seems to be only an archive of info. I like the Ariel 3 Christmas Cracker - would have sold it to me...

I think the idea of a Moped museum is a good and novel one
