Mobley Charles Evans 1810-1856

Hi, I am having problems tracking down the marriage of this relative : Charles Evans Mobley. Can anyone help me please? I'm assuming that he was married!

According to census info his wife was Harriet and they had 8 kids starting with Charles jnr in 1837.

In 1841 they were living in Brewery St (or Burnery St), Aston.

Any help in tracking down the marriage and Harriet's maiden name would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Wendy

Thanks very much for the info, I have looked and looked without success.

Its weird that Harriets surname was Taylor, as that is my mums maiden name. The Mobley name is my wifes maiden name. I'm not sure if I dare look for new Taylor-Mobley connections that far back!

Thanks again

Re: Charles Evans Mobley 1810-1856

The info was on the IGI on the familysearch site hope this helps. I have an Ann Taylor who married David Jennings at Edgbaston in 1856. Ann came from Malvern though. Taylor is a pretty common name so I don't think you are related other than marriage...ha ha!

Re: Charles Evans Mobley 1810-1856

Hi Wendy,

I had been using the new Family Search site and this entry is not listed. However when I go back to the old IGI site it's there. It seems that not all of the old records have been transferred. This is something that I will have to remember for future searches.....

My Taylor's originate from Lincolnshire so it would have been a bit of a trek to Malvern.

Cheers

Mick I have had the same problem with the new search. I now always double check just in case. Good luck with your research.
