Proud to be a Brummie !!
Hello folks! Another relative who is very much the "missing link" on the 1871/1881 census. The surname is a problem - Hallock/Hollick/Hillock/Hullah... Jane Preston was born 1821, Aberford, Yorkshire & married Thos Hullah, (Blue Slater) in Leeds 1842. The Hallock family are in B'ham on the 1851 census: 1 House, 7 Court, Barr St. On the 1861 Census @ 4,Unett Street, Jane Hollock is now Head, a Launderess. No sign of Jane on the 1871 or 1881 census. Her married daughter, Annie Elizabeth Green dies 16/07/1882 aged 33, Tower Road, Aston Manor: The informant is Jane Hollick (Mother) address: 4 Court, Aston Road, Dudderston. Any help with finding her would be greatly appreciated. Skylark.

Can't find Jane yet. Best I can do atm is her son, William in Cheslyn Hay in 1871. Married Handsworth in 1869, sister Ann a witness. William's address appears to be unhelpful.

Thank you so much for looking for Jane - She does not seem to be living with or near to William & his family. Have found her daughter Ellen Married to widower Robert Naylor (no sign of Jane living with them either) other daughter Emma M (1857) is another mystery. Thanks again. Skylark.
