My name is Ray Hadley and I live in Cornwall. I was taught by a Miss Nash from 1943 - 1945. I want to visit her grave to pay my respects. I believe she was born in West Bromwich in 1886, started teaching at Rood End School, Oldbury in 1920 (ish) - she travelled there from Handsworth daily. She was living at 127, Holly Road in 1945 and died 1968. She may be buried in St. Mary's churchyard and you may be able to confirm this or provide the missing link. Her full name is Sarah Edith Rusgrove Nash and her death record is S.E.R. Nash.

Hi Raymond
Just to let you know that she was still living at 127 Holly Road in 1955 (can't tell you any later as online only go up to 1955 at the present).

Dear Suzanne

Brilliant. Thank you for taking me one step nearer to Miss Nash's last resting place.

Thank you, Mike, for being so generous with your time.

Miss Nash living there 1962, died 1968. Seems she must be in Handsworth churchyard. Means a visit I suppose when next in Brum.

Does she have an occupation listed.

Regards

Ray Hadley

Ray she is more likely to be buried at Handsworth Cemetery unless there was a family plot at St Mary's. If you can find an actual death date send all the info you have to Handsworth Cemetery they may help but be patient they are having a difficult time at the moment. I had family who lived in Holly Road and have family in Handsworth Cemetery.

Dear Wendy

Thank you for responding. I shall contact Handsworth Cemetery immediately and hope that they can find the time to check out the grave location. 'They are having a difficult time'?

Regards

Ray Hadley
