Millman, again!

Hi all, i am back to the drawing board, but am going to search for people i definately know where they were living 1st, then go from there, rather than searching for someone who i havent got verification of address.
Here goes, i am searching for decendants of Joseph and Ida Millman, they were living at George Arthur Road in 1939, this i know is true as some kind person searched for me on the electoral role, i would like to know if anyone can find a man called Christopher Millman with these parents. There is a Christopher G Millman listed as born 1950, but need to confirm this before i can go down the RIGHT road, i am still unsure on this one, he was a year older than my mom so born 1949/50, so it may fit.

Ida Dorothy Millman birthdate 25th December 1911 died June 1996 age 84 birmingham

Ida D Smith mmn Gillam registered 1st qtr 1912 birmingham, which she probably would be if she was born at Christmas 1911. 6d 121

Hi Alberta, thank you very much, you gave me the details that i wanted.

This is the Christopher G Millman that i have, but i have him as married to Kathleen Maydew 1971, died 1986 aged 34. Son Kester born 1974. But this isnt the Kathleen that i know of, the Kathleen that i know of died in the mid 70's aged in her 20's, she took her own life after having a baby, post natel deppression.

Where am i going wrong?

Wendy I have just double checked the death records,between 1970-1980 there was no death of a young woman called Millman at all.

The probabilities are that perhaps they were not married and her death was registered in her maiden name.
or
that perhaps it is the one in 1986 and you were given incorrect information.

The only certain way to find out about the 1986 death ,and put your mind at rest, would be to get the certificate which will have informants name and address, and sadly will tell you how she died.

The Kathleen Millman who died in 1986 was born in Aug 1952(have checked birth and so was the Kathleen Maydew who married a Christopher Millman in 1971.

Their marriage certificate will give Christophers father and address so if you go to get the certificate stipulate that you only want it if Christophers father is Joseph then you know you have the right one.

Sorry if this sounds long winded but was I working through what I would do in the same situation. regards Alberta

Hi Alberta, thank you sooooo much for all your hard work, dont know how you do it, so all the info i had was correct, and not what my mom had been told. She was told that (not by Chris) Kathleen died shortly after the birth of her son 1974, and that she had missed the funeral, mom didnt get in touch with Chris at 1st, thought best to give him space, sadly that space got longer and she didnt feel right contacting him after years of lost touch, then he moved and she couldnt find him. I feel for my mom, she's been lied to all these years, and so have i, i couldve had the chance to get to know my godmother.
I am just waiting for a reply from this letter i sent, then if i get no reply i will apply for the death cert, at least i can then but my mind at rest so to speak. Also if she died in 1986, it would tie up with her possibly having a daughter called Zoe K Millman born 1981.
