proper brummie kid
Millington family came from Shropshire to Birmingham in early 1800s. Married such families as O'Hagan, Harris, Adderley, Vickers. Lived around Lee Bank area mainly. Claytons were from Willenhall, my g grandfather was Henry William who had brothers Alf, Fred, Samuel, Frank & Thomas & sister Pem (Emily). Connections with lots of Brum families such as Chiswells, Edwards, Murphy, Jeenes (or Geenes). Claytons lived around Newtown, Ladywood and Aston. Finn family were from Galway in mid 1800s, again loads of marriages to families such as Reeves, Taylor, Green, Judd, Payne. Finally Flynn, another big Irish family from Galway who settled around Newtown, Hockley and Ladywood. Also Robinsons of Ladywood who married Lee and Townley and ran the Vesper Bell. There you go, there's half a Brummagem, someone must have a connection?

Have you contacted Al Clayton at this forum. He has Claytons from Aston in his line.

Fred Harris is my great-great grandfather. He was married to Emily and their children were: Annie, Clement, Ellen, John, Maud, Milton.

I am looking for any information regarding their Son CLEMENT who had a daughter: LILIAN. Did Lilian have any siblings - who were they and where are their decendants??

Lilian is my grandmother and was married to Leonard Horace Smith - they had a daughter: Mary Elizabeth. Leonard was a Birmingham boxer and came out to South Africa with only his daughter when she was 2 (two) years old. (she is now 74)

Any info on LILIAN & her siblings would be much appreciated! Emmie
