My ancestor Charles Milligan b1872 Icknield Square, Ladywood, was married in St Johns CofE Parish Church in Monumental Rd, Ladywood to Lucy 'Edith' Hawkes in 1895. First daughter Edith Gertrude A 'Gertie' born that same year Headless Cross, Alcester as was 2nd daughter Cissy Louisa in 1897 (my grandmother).
The family were found in 1911 census register in Coventry and the family were thought to be at 47 Wright St, Coventry when Cissy Louisa Milligan married in 1918 to William Melville Dwyer (Australian soldier)
Cissy migrated to Australia with her husband after the war and her father Charles Milligan was a Toolmaker in 1895 Ladywood, Bicycle Builder in 1897 Ladywood, a Cycle/Fitter in 1901 Leyton ESSEX, was thought to work in a Cycle factory in Coventry during WW1 which was turned into major factory for army in WW1.
I havent been able to find anything on the eldest daughter Edith Gertrude Milligan, or what happened to Charles or his wife. Any ideas would be welcomed.
I have found name variations for Milligan because of accents.
