my ancestors the Jones family (Cain and Abel to be precise) had a dairy business and their mother and then Abel's mother in law (Harriet Feakes) ran the shop - supported by census records from 1901 and 1911 - they lived at 106 Farm Street. My grandad Jack delivered milk on the horse and cart with his father Frank all around Aston, probably by then it was owned by the Cattell Bros. but he told it that he still worked for his uncles as they were hard taskmasters. One winter one of his aunties (their sister Abigail who lived on Burbury Street) took him in and rubbed goose fat on his chest to keep him warm before sending him home with a message for his uncles!
