photo of midland street...not heard of this one so could someone provide a map please caption says 1 back 52 and 1 back 54

According to 1915 Kelly's it ran from Garrison Lane to Landor Street
Only property listed was Queen's Head p.h.

There's a Midland St that runs between Landor St and Garrison St, it's not very long though and there weren't many houses on it. Righthand side of this map...

My Grampa William Woodward (b. 1868 Spondon, Derbyshire) managed & lived in a Public House at 58 Midland St, Aston in 1901 (with 1st wife, Sarah J)

I'd love to find out the name of the pub & any relevant information. He owned a pub & adjoining rifle range, (possibly another establishment ) & then finally for a short time he owned a restaurant before coming to Canada 1910. He also married a widow with 2 children (my Gramma, Alice H.) who was a barmaid at his pub in Aston. So in those ten years he was quite busy. We also hope to get info about Sarah J (Woodward) b 1872, Derby...

Might be a little late but on the 1935 ER Harold & Ada Todd are at 1 back 54 Midland St and Ada's parents, Benjamin & Florence Goode are at 2 back 54. 1911 census gives Ada's birthplace as what appears to be 1 back 48 Midland St.

I wonder if the child in the doorway realised that there was a headless woman behind them.
