Anyone remember the Merryhill Club in Winson Green, on Wellington Street beneath the railway arches. In the early 80s, after me and a few fellow undesireables were kicked out of the pubs in Erdington or Sutton Coldfield at 10.30pm, we'd jump in a couple of cars and go there. The gaffer took no heed of licensing hours, and if I remeber right imposed a colour bar, it was a very "interesting" place to frequent.
