Thank you for posting the photographs. Like others have already mentioned I can't understand why people throw away their family history, in this way.
One can only assume it's a generation thing, once the generation who knew the people in the photograph's have passed away, it no longer means anything.
I pick up/collect "anonymous" photograph postcard's of WW1 serviceman. In many cases I have been unable to identify even the regiment. What gets me about them though. Is if you hold them up to the light, on many you can see the outline on the photograph of a shaped frame. Meaning the photograph once hung in someones house on their wall or stood on their mantlepiece. The photograph meant something to someone once and even if I am unable to indentify the men in the photograph, I think they need to be saved, because of that.
