Mechanical Horses, Scarabs & Ants

The first post in this thread mentions their manoeuvrability and why they were popular for deliveries. They were, principally used in cities or large towns and I believe it was therefore rare to see them used in rural and small towns which were distant to their depots.
 
briish rail windsor st goods dept rupert st junc rock lane nechells had lots of scarabs running back and forth to walter st BRS depot there was pics but all was lost when forum was hacked it would e nice if some one had some pic to repost of rupert st
