Mary Ann Biggs

dznee

knowlegable brummie
Hello everyone,

She was formerly Maryann Ellis, born 1829 in Wolverhampton.
She married Robert Biggs, 1854 in Birmingham. He was a fire iron maker. B 1830
They had a child in 1858 who died that year, in Trent St.

I just can't find any trace of them since then.
Thank you for any help.

There are 2 other Biggs/Ellis birth reg. listed in Bham in the 1850s. James 1856 and Enoch 1859. Can't tell if they are theirs.

There's a death reg. for Enoch but not for James.

Even so I can't see anything else for Robert, Mary Ann or James.

hi..i take it you have their marriage certificate..married at st philips ? i will try and find them after that date

Thank you for looking, it looks like Enoch could be their son too then.
I have Henry's death.
They married at St Philips church and There was no father for Robert.
But maybe I could try and find Trent st and see if they are still there in 1861.
Enoch may be a clue, so thanks.

It is son James who you need to look for.
Enoch died in 1859 - see post #6

I will look for James, it's just that the name Enoch doesn't appear anywhere on the mothers side of the family.
It may have come from Robert's side, a small clue I know.

I have just done a quick "walk" down Trent Street on 1861 census and I can't see a Robert or Mary Ann with surname Biggs.
