Marriage lookup - Thomas Birch / Mary Cartwright 1791

Hello,

Perhaps someone would be able to help me by looking up the following marriage at St. Martin.

Thomas Birch and Mary Cartwright, 26 December 1791.

I found this record in the IGI and I am hoping that the parish register may contain some information about whether Mary comes from Cheswardine in Shropshire to validate my suspicion that these are a set of gggg grandparents.

hello jonathan, your names and date are correct but unfortunately in those early years there is just one line in the parish record, no other info at all, just date and names :rolleyes:
 
Hello Jonathon, it is always worth asking if there is a banns book for the period of the wedding. It is as always a lottery with old records as to what survives. The book recorded the date the banns were called and the address's of the couple at the time they were called. St Martins records are at the central library.
