Thankyou for your efforts to find this marriage entry. There appears to be something wrong here as the parties to the marriage should be George Gilbert and Catherine McQuire. Would it be possible for you to have another search for this marriage in the St. Martin Birmingham records. Thanking you. Jennifer

Hello Jennifer,

Yes that is correct. I have refered to them as the Bride and Groom rather than listing them by their name as you already knew this.

I also refered to their fathers first names only.

Groom : George Gilbert is a Batchelor ( Batch)
Address: Lawley Street

Bride :Catherine McQuire is a Spinster ( Spin )
Adress: Lawley Street.

Marriage by Banns.

Grooms Occupation : Brass Caster.
Grooms Father: George Gilbert: Occupation: Horse Clipper

Brides Father: John Mcquire: Occupation: Plasterer.

Witnesses: John Lloyd, Jane Lloyd

Only the Bride Catherine Mcquire signed her own name all others made their mark.

I have also sent you an I. M ( Instant Message )
