Could somebody please tell me any further detail that exist for the marriage between:

William Detheridge
Leah Parsons
December 18th 1808
St Martin, Birmingham

Any information will be much appreciated
 
welcome petermartin - 2 of my sons are named peter and martin!

william detheridge of this parish and leah parsons of this parish spinster married in this church by banns on 18th dec 1808

both signed with a cross

the witnesses were ann parsons and nehemiah parsons

there isnt much info before 1837 but the witnesses sometimes help. good luck with your research
 
leah parsons was born 1785 in rowley regis . her father was john parsons b. 1749 and her mother was hannah sidway. there are a few generations back on the parsons side on a family tree listed on ancestry (if you are interested).
 
Many thanks. Whilst I was hoping that the Register would provide a bit more information about William Detheridge, nevertheless the names of the witnesses provides confirmation of information that I was uncertain about.
 
Thanks. I have been aware of the Ancestry member trees, and I was looking for confirmation of their link to the Detheridge family which this marriage provides.
