Can anyone lookup marriage of Elijah Sleigh and Mary Landen 21/1/1823 at St Martins, B'ham? I'm trying to get info on parents of Elijah Sleigh.
 
Hi Don, I am sorry the early records don't give fathers name. Here's what I found. They were both of the parish and Batch and Spinster the witnesses were Rabecca Ashcroft and Alexander Sandon.
 
on the igi there is a christening at st phillips bham of a elijah "sley" on
23 feb 1795 father isaac sley mother mary.

could this be the one? the age seems to match up to the 1841 census.

Thanks Chris. Not sure. The dates are good, but the spelling of Sley verses Sleigh is a bit concerning. Many thanks for your time though. Really helpful.

Don have found those photo's of Connie and Bert and will put them on tomorrow when I find time. My grandaughter has the lergie so it depends how much running around I have to do. Jean.
 
Hi Don. Have found this photo for you but unfortunately your great uncle Bert is facing away from the camera. That is your great aunt Connie my twins and myself. Must have been taken 25 years ago. Connies other sister was Muriel. All the best. Jean.
