Hi

I have a marriage for John Masefield (Macefield) and a Prudence Bagshaw 8th April 1823, St Martins.
I wondered whether it would be possible to know the marriage witnesses and whether John was down as of this parish.

Many thanks

Kaz

Apologies for over-use of word Marriage in the title :0(

John and Mary Batchelor and Spinster John was of the parish Mary was of the parish of St Phillips. Witnesses Robert Macefield and Mary Robinson.
Hope this helps.:)

Thank you so much Wendy - it certainly does help especially with the Robert Macefield as a witness! Can I just confirm it was Prudence and not Mary that John married. (she seems to change names in census too)

Thanks again:)

Kaz

Hi Kaz, I am so sorry I am a little stressed at the moment and confused the witness Mary with Prudence. It was indeed Prudence Bagshaw who married John Macefield. Wendy

Kaz
