Can anyone tell me if Market Hall was a district in the parish of St Martins or would it have been The Market Hall, as er 1911 Census? Nico
 
i have just read the Market Threads again and see that the Market Hall opened in 1930 something. The one i am referring to was in St Martins in 1911, which looking at the old posts was a meat market. I have a Census 'Book' entry which gives somones name at Market Hall and High Street. Does that help decipher it in t being a district? Thanks. Nico

In the census Market Hall was an area, named after the Market Hall, which was within it . The High st would have been within the Market Hall area of the census.
