A sad start to the day. I have just read that Marianne Faithful has died.

Marianne Faithfull: Singer and actress dies at 78

She was known for hits such as 1964's As Tears Go By and films including 1968's The Girl On A Motorcycle.

Yes, I was sorry to hear that yesterday.
I saw her at the old Ronnie Scott's in Broad Street back in the 80s, she was performing Jacque Brel songs (I think it was!) quite different from her original stuff, very theatrical. It was very good.
