ma lloyds and son

This response has been a long time coming, but I and my parents lived at the caretaker's house for M A Lloyd and Sons - number 52 Princip Street from 1958 until 1961: Family name - STANFORD. There was a cafe next door where I made friends with a boy called Warren (Can't recall his surname) and they made fantastic sausage and tomato sandwiches. I joined my father (Stan) many times on his rounds around the factory and my mother (Doris) worked in the pressings-room for a while. During lunch we might watch Lunch Box with Noel Gordon and the Jerry Allen Trio on our little B&W tele sometimes with friends from the factory: Mrs Tamplin for one!
