Loynes family from Birmingham St Martins 1792

I used to go to school with a Susan Loynes Jo. She lived in Brantley road Witton.

Thanks for that information. When was that?
The Loynes are on my maternal side, and that line has died out namewise because the only boy in the family was killed in a bike accident.
But I'm sure there must be lots of second cousins out there. Seems the family located in Birmingham in the 1800s and were carpenters.

Directories list the following Loynes

1829-33 Elizabeth Loynes, gilder, 121 Lionel St
1839 Thomas Loynes , water gilder (?) 56 Gt Charles St
1841 Thomas Loynes , water gilder (?) 113 Lionel st
1845 Edward Loynes, boot maker, 90 Coleman St, Upper Windsor St
1845 Thomas Loynes farmer , Halfway farm , Perry barr
1862 Edward Loynes, shoemaker, 8 Sherborne st
There are no Loynes listed in directories dated 1849,1855,1858,1867,1868,1872 or 1873. I did not go later than 1873
Early directories often took a while to compile , and could refer to up to 3 years prior to the publication date (given above)

The Susan Loynes mentioned is the daughter of Sydney and Mable Loynes . They lived in Lichfield after moving form
Brantley Road. Both now deceased. If you require any more information let me know
